Northwood and University Center at Gaylord Partner

MIDLAND and GAYLORD, MI – Northwood University and University Center Gaylord (UCG) are pleased to announce that effective January, 2012, Northwood University has become a four-year university partner at the UC in Gaylord. In recognition of the significant concentration of hotels, restaurants and resorts in our region and the need for trained professional staff, Northwood will be bringing its acclaimed baccalaureate degree in Hospitality Management (HM) to northern Michigan. The degree will be delivered on site at the University Center with the first cohort starting in the fall of 2013.
Karla Spaeth, chair of the Hospitality Management program at Northwood, states, “I am excited to be able to bring the Hospitality Management major to Gaylord in order to enrich and enhance the educational quality of the hospitality industry within Gaylord and its surrounding areas.”
In addition, Northwood is offering Bachelor completion in Entrepreneurship and in Management.
