Painting with Watercolors - Spring 2012

About the Course:
This course is designed to work with beginning to advanced water color artists. Composition, color and texture are a few of the topics covered. How to handle your equipment and paint are also discussed. Weekly demos and critiques will be held. Subject matter will change from week to week.

Scrapbooking- Spring 2012

About the Course:
Students will learn ideas and tools for putting together their own scrapbook. In the class we will make page layouts using collective ideas and tools. We will examine making pages without pictures and with pictures so that students can decide which is their style. Projects during the class include a mini album, gift tags and cards, 12x12 page layout, and decorating a gift bag. All supplies are included. Projects are the student's to keep.

Soapmaking in a Crockpot-Spring 2012

About the Course:
Learn how to make fragrant, bubbly, handcrafted soap in a crock-pot that is ready to use as soon as it finishes cooling! Learn which ingredients to use and why; safety; fragrances; herbs to add for color, texture and scent; cutting and storage. You will take home a bar of handcrafted soap, and a recipe with instructions and tips to "try this at home." This plant based soap feels great and is healthy for your skin.

If you have tried everything else and you have arrived at the decision that you want to be free, this is the place to be.

QuickBooks Fundamentals - Spring 2012

About the Course:
Repeat of the February Class which filled up.  This is a hands-on introduction to QuickBooks. It's main objective is to introduce you to the basic features in QuickBooks and give you an opportunity for hands-on practice. You'll have the chance to work with a sample company to develop the basic skills necessary to record revenues, pay bills, prepare payroll checks and maintain various tax liabilities. You will also be introduced to the financial reports available in QuickBooks to monitor your business's success. Other more advanced procedures will be presented depending on the students' interest.

About the Course:
This course is hands-on and covers processing payroll in QuickBooks. Students will gain an overview of payroll and learn how to set up the payroll system. We will add new employees, process paychecks, learn about and pay payroll liabilities and payroll taxes. How to create payroll reports and end of the year processing is also covered.
