North Central Michigan College

North Central Michigan College is the community college that offers the general education courses that serve as a gateway to a vast array of programs through the University Center at Gaylord. North Central grantees a full Associate of Arts completed entirely in Gaylord. In addition, the Associate of General Studies and the Associate of Applied Science in Geographic Information Systems are delivered through the UC at Gaylord. Dual Enrollment
North Central offers high school students an opportunity to attend college while in high school in accordance with Michigan Dual
Enrollment legislation.
- High school students in grades 11 and 12 may be eligible for dual enrollment as recommended by their high school.
- Students must apply on-line for admission to North Central at www.ncmich.edu and submit ACT or Compass test scores.
- Each semester, students meet with their high school counselor to complete a North Central Dual Enrollment Registration Request Form.
- Requirements for eligibility for dual enrollment are facilitated and approved by the student’s high school guidance counselors.
