About this course
Please bring some photos on flash drive or CD to first class!
This workshop will take the learner from field image capture to printing an art quality print. The basics of image capture and camera controls will be covered briefly. What will follow is the enhancement of images in Photoshop, using the adjustment tools and techniques in the software.
Weekly assignments will vary by subject, but each session will feature introduction, practice, and application of the following tools: resizing, levels, shadow/highlights, dodging, burning, making selections, cloning, sharpening, setting black points, black/white conversion, hue/saturation, contrast control, panoramic stitching, and color variations.
More topics and software controls may be discussed and applied depending on learner interest. Printing will be done each week using archival paper and a pigment dye printer.
Computer experience is preferred but not required.
