Grades 10 – 12 and adults
About the course:
This course will open the window to Russia. Students will learn the Cyrillic alphabet, the phonics associated with each letter of the alphabet, vocabulary, pronunciation, the word ending structure for the language, and the basic parts of speech as well as conversational phrases for travel, greetings, and shopping. In this course students will be introduced to the etiquette and culture of Russia as well.
Students will be surprised by their progress. Russian is a very phonetic language. There is only one sound for each letter of the alphabet. Also, like most languages, Russian “borrows“ words from other languages including English. So, you already know some Russian!
