Complete Catalog 2010

Hospice 101 - Spring, 2010

About the course:

It’s okay to ask for help. Would you like to have someone to call when your elderly parent or loved one became so seriously ill that it appeared unlikely they’d recover? Would you like someone to send well-trained nurses, social workers or caregivers to see that your loved one is being taken care of as you would? Would you like to have trained volunteers give you relief or companionship for your loved one? Would you like someone to deliver equipment you might need – a hospital bed, wheelchair, medications? Are you feeling depressed, guilty or just plain tired of “doing it all”? Hospice is the organization that can deliver these coordinated comfort care resources to you. Join us for an informative evening where Ellie Specht Panci from Hospice of Michigan will explain the types of care one deserves or is entitled to and how to request care for yourself or a loved one. There is no fee for this class, but please pre-register to secure a place.
