Complete Catalog 2010

Soap Making in a Crock-Pot - Spring, 2010

 About the Course:

See how to make fragrant, bubbly, handcrafted soap in a crock-pot that is ready to use as soon as it finishes cooling! Learn about which ingredients to use; safety; texture and scent; cutting and storage.  You will take home a bar of handcrafted soap, and a recipe with instructions and tips to “try this at home”.   This plant based soap feels good and is good for you allowing your skin to “breathe” and is less drying than commercial soap.

About the Instructors:

Jeanne Freymuth and Marilyn Kaczanowksi learned to make plant based soap in a crock-pot while attending the Annual Master Gardener Summer Conference at MSU in 2004.  After using this glycerin rich soap made from plant oils, they were hooked.  Jeanne & Marilyn have been making animal fat free and chemical free soap for themselves, family and friends ever since.
