Aunt Shelley´s Goat Camp - Summer, 2010

About the course:

In this course, children ages 5-13 will have the chance for hands-on activities involving dairy and pack goats. The first day is devoted to learning how to milk a goat and feed kids. For the second class, children will learn about pack goats and their many uses, and they will take a brief hike with pack goats. Please wear comfortable outdoor clothes and shoes that cover the entire foot. Parents are welcome.

 About the instructor:

Shelley St. Ange-Sheldon is a writing consultant with the Third Coast Writing Project and an adjunct professor at North Central Michigan College.  This freelance writer and former high school teacher also leads workshops on a variety of topics including creativity, music and writing.  Shelley is involved in the Kids Hope program where mentors meet with elementary students. She lives at Creative Haven Farms with dairy and pack goats, lots of chickens, and a magical husband who builds musical instruments and teaches art and music appreciation to people of all ages.
